Homeless on Campus by Eleanor J. Bader is an article
covering the problem of students who come from poverty and continue the struggle
through college. These students are unable to afford housing while going
through college. An example would be the
story of Aesha, a single mother who fled from her abusive boyfriend and was
sent to live in a shelter; she was forced to travel almost 8 hours a day from
the shelter to child care for her son, then to school and back home using
public transportation. Thankfully, her professors were understanding and lenient
on absences. LeTendre Education Fund for Homeless Children, a scholarship
program administered by the National Association for the Education of the
Homeless Children and Youth is helping 40 students a year with funds for
housing. This is not enough; Universities need to provide students with
affordable housing and health care to help their students succeed. This would
help put an end to homeless students and allow them to focus on their studies
and maintaining a degree to pull them out of poverty.

Driving Music
This is a good playlist because it is calming upbeat music for a long drive. These are currently my favorite songs. Everything Has Changed and Give Me Love are sung by my favorite artist, Ed Sheeran. Royals by Lorde is a new song I recently heard on the radio and I like it because it has a different style than most of the music I listen to. Wrecking ball by Miley Cyrus is also a new song that my one year old daughter and I love to listen to! Get Your Shine On by Florida Georgia Line is an upbeat country song which adds music variety to the playlist.
